Sports & Other Activities

Sports

Sports have a really important place in my life as they help me maintaining a psychological balance as well as developing my social connections. That is why I practice quite a lot of sports since a long time.

Surf

I began surfing seven years ago, and I've been consistently passionate about it ever since. I cherish this sport not only for the physical activity it provides but also for the enjoyable moments spent with friends and the breathtaking landscapes. Unfortunately, I can only indulge in surfing during weekends or holidays as I don't reside near the ocean. Nevertheless, the contact with water is profoundly relaxing for me. Consequently, surfing serves as a means to unwind, helping me rest and clear my mind.

Tennis

I've been playing tennis since the age of six, making it my primary hobby for a significant portion of my life. This sport introduced me to the fundamental concepts of physical exertion in sports, rigorous training, and self-control during competitions. On a personal level, tennis played a crucial role in helping me forge valuable friendships, especially at a time when I was transitioning to a new environment. I owe a lot to tennis for the lessons it has imparted and the meaningful connections it has facilitated in my life.

Running

I discovered my passion for running during a challenging period the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite the less enjoyable circumstances, I found solace in the simplicity of this sport. Running became a mental anchor for me during the two years of "Classes Préparatoires" when I didn't have the time for other sports. Throughout this period, I trained with my schoolmates during lunchtime, and we even participated in a ten-kilometer race together.

Swimming

I have a fondness for water activities, as evident from my enthusiasm for surfing. Swimming holds a special place among the sports in my daily life. I became addicted to it when my aunt taught me the basics. Like running, swimming is one of the few sports I've consistently practiced since discovering them, even during my years in "Classe Preparatoire." Currently, I am actively engaged in the swimming team of the INP Sports Association.

Judo

Judo is one of the most recent sports I took up. I practiced it for two years before pausing to focus on other athletic goals, such as triathlon, which I started this year. Nevertheless, I am thrilled to have explored a martial art that has taught me valuable skills like discipline, teamwork, technique, and self-control.

Thriathlon

What was bound to happen finally did. After years of swimming and running, I’ve joined a triathlon club (Triathlon Toulouse Metropole) and started training in cycling. I began this new activity this year because a friend and I set the ambitious goal of competing in an L-sized triathlon, scheduled for the summer of 2025. In addition, I’ve set other challenges for myself this academic year, including a 10-kilometer race, which was planned for November 10, 2024 along with an half marathon which occured at the end of November 2024.
